Ham/Amateur Radio 4m 70MHz High Power 300W Amplifier DIY Kit. Trusted UK Seller
Enigma Shop 4m 300W Amplifier Kit. Following on from the success of our 2m 300W high power amplifier kit, we have retuned and optimised the circuit for the 70MHz 4m band. Using one of the new generation, highly rugged RF mosfet transistors at its core, the design has several features not offered by other similar products. Supplied with comprehensive instructions including clear assembly photos, assembly will take around 2-3 hours for the intermediate level constructor. The kit does not come with heatsink, but we recommend either the Enigma HS150. A heatsink with a thermal resistance of at least 1.2º/W is recommended. Partially assembled kit supplied with high quality PCB. Mixed use of through-hole and SMT parts. All SMT parts already professionally mounted. High quality components used throughout. Latest high-ruggedness MRFE6VP6300H RF mosfet. Temperature compensated bias with external shutdown pins to save power. On-board directional coupler and precision thermistor for SWR and temperature monitoring. Suitable for FM & SSB.
Current draw: Typical 9A at 48V. Mismatch ruggedness: >SWR 65:1. Tested into open and short circuit loads at the output without damage. Size: 150 (L) x 75 (W) x 35 (H)mm (Completed PCB). 150 (L) x 100 (W) x 75 (H)mm (mounted on Enigma HS150 heatsink).
200 (L) x 100 (W) x 75 (H)mm (mounted on Enigma HS200 heatsink). Voltage outputs via an edge connector for thermal and SWR monitoring, suitable for connection to a microcontroller.
Bias shutdown for PTT (dual mode, either ground or +5-12V input to disable bias). LED indicators for +50V Supply and PTT bias on. The amplifier kit will be dispatched using a tracked service only.
