Ophir XRF383 2-channel RF Power Amplifier 70-500Mhz 2x20W AS-IS Partially Works. For Parts or Not Working. This amplifier is in Fair cosmetic condition with minor scuffs/scratches/stains from prior use all over, as well as a couple of dings on the top panel. The tamper-evident seals on the outer case as well as on the internal amplifier modules are all broken and some of the screws show evidence of having been loosened.

The previous owner left a note on it, BAD!! and that was borne out in our testing. This amp is in PARTIAL working condition. When power is switched on, the red power light in the switch and the green light on the internal power supply both come on solid. The fans sound like normal (read: loud) fans. We applied the same signal from our signal generator (100MHz, -30dBm) to channel 2 input of our oscilloscope and the input of each channel of the amplifier in turn. Both channels amplified the input signal, but Channel T provided much greater amplification than Channel P by our calculation, approximately 44 dB vs. We are not sure why there is this difference in amplification. We applied a 50 ohms dummy load to the output of Channel T and turned the signal up until the output was about 31V, with an input of about 2.7V - which is also about 41 dB. The output air from the fans was warm afterward but the over-temperature light never illuminated. No other testing was done.

No manuals, cords/cables, or additional items are included if not listed or shown. (1) Ophir XRF383 RF Power Amplifier. Input Power: 100-240V 50/60Hz 7A. Other markings on the outside.
